Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashua is proud to offer K-6 grade Our Whole Lives (OWL), a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education, training for those who would like to teach this curriculum in their congregation. 


This is an intensive Our Whole Lives (OWL) facilitator training being held during the weekend of
March 17th-19th, 2023.


What: OWL Facilitator Training (K-1/4-6)


Where: Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashua, NH - 58 Lowell St, Nashua NH 03064


When: Begins Friday, March 17, 3:00 PM - Sunday, March 19, 2023, approx. 3:00 PM


Friday- Start at 3:00 and end at 8:30 close (dinner at 5:30).

Saturday -Start at 8:30 and end at 8:45 (lunch at 12:15, Dinner at 6)

Sunday- Start at 8:30 and end at 2:30 (Lunch at 12:00).

 


Exact timing of each day will include breaks and the schedule will be determined by the facilitators.


This training includes mandatory pre-training assignments that must be completed ahead of time. Please plan for up to 3-½ hours of preparation. Details will be provided in the Welcome Letter from the Facilitators.


Who: Up to 20 participants -  must be at least 21 years old at the time of the training

Registration: Sliding scale: $200-$350
We are charging a sliding scale in hopes that there will be participants who could afford this training if it cost less and that those you can afford to pay for full rate will be able to do so. 


Registration includes these meals: 
Friday: dinner & snacks
Saturday: breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner  
Sunday: (Sunday breakfast on your own), snacks & lunch provided. 

Important details for you to know:

- OWL trainees must be at least 21 years old at the time of the training


-This training includes mandatory pre-training assignments that must be completed ahead of time. Please plan for up to 3-½ hours of preparation. Details will be provided in the Welcome Letter from the Facilitators.

- Participants need to arrange their own travel and lodging (we can recommend nearby hotels)

- Participants need to bring their own copy of K-1 & 4-6 OWL Curriculum to the training. You will be referring to them during the training.


In order to maximize the safety of training participants, facilitators, and their friends and families...

- Participants and facilitators are recommended to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

- Participants and facilitators are required to do a rapid test upon arrival at the training (do note you need to allow time to do this before the training officially starts).

- Participants and facilitators are required to take their temperature each morning before training and stay home if the temperature is above 99.5.

- Participants and facilitators are required to wear a mask over mouth and nose at all times during the training unless a small group covenants to have masks as optional. Masks must be multi-layer - no neck gaiters or valves. Host congregation will provide surgical masks for participants who need a mask. We will take frequent breaks.

- Social distancing from others will be possible during mealtime.

- Participants and facilitators will have the option of being seated at least 3 feet apart. 

- Facilitators reserve the right to send home anyone who is exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

- Facilitators reserve the right to cancel the training if local county covid transmission risk jumps at any time before training. From Susan Frederick-Gray’s last statement: when "transmission risk is Very High or Severe (per the COVID Act Now) data.”

Notes about the training and Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashua
There will be breaks scheduled throughout the training.

There are accessible bathrooms in the Parish house where we will have the trianing. 

There is an elevator to the 2nd floor where we will have some of the session.
