OWL interest form & scheduling survey for 2024-25

What We Know
1. The UU Nashua buildings will be under construction starting in September through the winter. We will gather for church services and children's faith formation on Sunday Mornings at Rivier University in Nashua, but we cannot offer our class there on Sunday mornings.

2. Excitingly, we have 8-10 potential youth in 7th/8th grades ready to engage in the OWL program this year, and we are dedicated to ensuring its success!

3. A team of 4 trained leaders is set to facilitate the program once the timing is confirmed. They are: Paige Beauchemin, Kenna McLeod, Andy Straussberg, and Marin Smith (Marin, from the UU Concord church, will be joining as a facilitator)

4. This summer, an updated curriculum was released, incorporating current language for inclusivity and best practices.

5. A parent orientation will be scheduled for all parents/guardians to attend and sign a permission form before their youth can participate.

6. We will likely offer the program on Friday evenings & Some Saturdays in the Campbell Chapel which will be accessible to us at UU Church of Nashua.

The program will likely start in early October!

What We Don't Know:
How well does your family schedule align with our program schedule options?

Will the OWL program occur at the church on Friday evenings or at a yet-to-be-determined rental location?

If there is space on Sunday mornings at the rental location to host an OWL session during or after church services,

The exact date of the parent orientation, planned for September, on a Sunday or a weekend evening.

Please select every day and/or time what could work for you this coming year for 90 minutes OWL sessions. There are 26 session for this program so it would likely run From Oct- May with ~4 sessions each month.

Fridays from 6pm-7:30pm Fridays from 5:30-7pm Sundays from 10am-11:30am Sundays from 10:30am - Noon Occassional Saturdays afternoons or evenings

Please provide details about your family's availability during fall, winter, and spring. Specifically, let us know if Sundays, Friday evenings, or any occasionaly Saturdays would be suitable for your 7th/8th grader.

We know we want them to participate. We like the program, but are unsure if it will fit in our schedule. We have questions about the program and would like to have a conversation with Director of Faith Formation in August before we decide. We know we won't sign them up for the class, but would like resources so we can support our youth at home.
